IAM Meditation Retreats
Arrival Day:
2.00 pm onwards; Arrival & showing people to accommodation and the Hermitage grounds. Relax for preparation for silence.
4.00 pm Introduction to the code of the Hermitage, the teachers & volunteer service team.
5.30 pm Dinner
7.30 to 9.00pm
- Formal teaching about Master Yanchiji’s principle of Insight Awareness, Noble silence and Karma service through video.
- Instruction of the types of meditation (walking, sitting, open eyes) and formal sitting meditation practice.
- Formal sitting Meditation
- Relaxation breathing
Middle Days
7.00 am Formal sitting Meditation in the Temple
8.00 am Breakfast
9.00 – 10.00am Light Karma Yoga Service
10.30 am Formal sitting Meditation in Losing Shadow Temple.
11.30 am Walking Meditation in the Hermitage grounds.
12.30 pm lunch
1.30 pm Journal writing
2.30 pm Ask questions relative to your meditation and writing
3.00 pm Formal sitting Meditation in Losing Shadow Temple.
3.30 pm Walking meditation in the Hermitage grounds or sitting meditation
4.00 pm Continue with your practice of walking, sitting, reclining meditation and 1 to 1 time with a teacher (optional – there will be a sign-up sheet in Guardian House)
5.30pm Dinner
7.00pm to 8.30pm
- Video and discussion/questions in regards to Insight Awareness Meditation (IAM)
- Formal sitting Meditation
- Relaxation breathing
Last Day
7.00 am Formal sitting Meditation in the Temple
8.00 am Breakfast
9.30 am Walking meditation in the Hermitage grounds
10.00 am Formal sitting Meditation in the Temple
11.00 am Talking with teachers and last questions about the retreat.
